Google Advanced Training

posted Jul 30, 2015, 8:38 AM by Shawn Beard
For the past three days, I have been involved in a 3-day intensive training to help our ELA teachers feel proficient in using Google Apps and Chromebooks.  It was a great experience and it was wonderful to see how much everyone enjoyed learning and using Google Docs.  Many had great things to say, but a few comments stood out:
  • "At first I dreaded sitting in a training all day long, but this has gone fast"
  • "Don't tell anyone, but I'm actually enjoying this!"
  • "So excited to finally go paperless"
Of course some of these quotes are paraphrased and may have been different than they appear - and yes, even though they said "don't tell anyone" someone told - but they do a great job of telling how well teachers are responding to Google Tools!  I thoroughly enjoyed working with our faculty and look forward to next week when I do this again with another group.

To share some of the fruits of our labor, I am providing links to a few of the documents we used for training.  Use these along with the video links on this site to help get yourself started on Google Apps/Tools:
