Google Classroom and Your District LMS

In our district we use Moodle as a Learning Management System.  We call that site the Sandite Classroom.  Many teachers have used it over the past few years to post announcements, lessons, and calendars so that students and parents could keep in contact with their classroom.

Recently, we made the move to becoming a Google Apps for Education district.  With that, came the Google Classroom.  Teachers that were using the Sandite Classroom (Moodle LMS) asked if they should switch or if we were keeping the Moodle site.  The answer to that question is that we are keeping it and teachers can decide whether they want to use the Sandite Classroom or the Google Classroom.  I have even suggested that teachers post a link to their Google Classroom on the Sandite Classroom so parents and students can find them if they visit the Sandite Classroom page.

Recently, Alice Keeler posted an article about using Google Classroom with an LMS.  This article may provide some answers to teachers who want to use both systems.  Take a look at this article and see what I mean.
